Remove water filter
pour bleach in fresh water tank (amount of bleach depends on size of tank) then fill with water let sit for atleast a few hours and run through the faucets then drain tanks and filter housing
reinstall new filter and fill fresh water

some will say driving the camper around the block with bleach in tank helps but I have never done this and havent had any issues.

you will get many diffrent ways of accomplishing the same thing

Ok thanks. I have a wildwood 26tbss and dont know if it has a filter. My freshwater tank is enclosed and heated so it says. What does that do for me?

The manual also recommends a bleach solution of 1/4 cup to 15 gallons of water (3/4 cup total for 40 gal tank).

I use a hose with a shut off valve on the end.

With the water off, pour the bleach into the hose. Put the shutoff valve on the hose and close it. Turn on the water. Put the shutoff valve into the fresh water inlet and open it while directing the water w/bleach into the tank.

Wear old clothes (and safety glasses) as no matter how careful you are, you are gonna get bleach on you.

enclosed and heated wont matter - just means you are probably weatherized for cold climate

you will need to verify you dont have a filter - the bleach will kill the charcoal filter besides it's good to replace the filter if it hasnt been done in a while

I buy my filters at walmart - the smaller the hole the less pressure you will get so keep that in mind when looking at filters and replace them atleast every 6 months

or when you sanitize your fresh water tank
