Two Black Water Tanks

My control panel has indicators for two black water tanks (3 gray). The user guide doesn't address this and Im a bit befuddled on how they might operate together if at all - since there's only one outlet. Any advice?

Just because the panel shows extra tanks, doesn't mean your RV does.
RV manufacturers use the panel in different brands and different configurations.
The panel in my TT shows 2 gray tanks but my model only has one.
If you provided the year, make and model number of your RV, we could be more helpful. Or put that information in your profile or signature. Without that information, we have no idea whether your RV has 3 black tanks or 5 tanks or 10 tanks.

Thanks for the info - but would they leave it functional - the indicators working?

do you have two toliets? might have two tanks. Is this a new to you unit? did the dealer give you a good run through? You might have a second valve hiding, i doubt they would be plumbed together.

Yes our second black tank indicator always shows empty. It is not actually functional as we have one black tank even though the light comes on.

You have a destination trailer and according to specs, you should have 2 grey tanks and 1 black tank. https://www.forestriverrvsource.com/...092bfl-tr32473

That is correct I know that, but like the OP we have two black tanks listed on the indicator panel.

Do you have two grey tanks labeled? If so, that's probably just mislabeled.

Specs ?

As a follow to the original post, I have generally been very disappointed by the available information on my unit. Sales did a great walk-through but didn't provide me a manual. I found the manual online but it is general for all of the models under the Heritage Glen name, and so far I have been unsuccessful at finding detailed specs (like tank info including number and size). Any suggestions?

Based on the specs of 30 gal black tank, I'd say you only have one. If you had 2 it would be 60 gals.

Makes sense because you only have one toilet.

i dont think the owners manuals cover a specific model. My owners manual covers the entire heritage glenn family.

Some of the heritage glens have two bathrroms. Probably use the same control panel in all the units. Wouldnt worry about the extra button.

Yeah, it'd be cool if they were connected, but there are 3 tanks - forward (kitchen), mid (bath), and aft (w/d).

I think you have me confused with the OP. My tanks are labeled just fine. On the panel I have two grey tanks, which I have (galley and grey) and two black tanks ( one actual tank and one is just a light that stays on empty as I have one black tank). No labeling issues Just an extra black tank indicator light to no where.

It is possible to add an extra shut off at the end and open your gray tanks and they back fill one another and you can add capacity that way.

I have a very similar Heritage Glen TT. I have 3 tanks. 1 black, 2 grey tanks. They all come out in one place with 3 separate dump valves. They are very handy and set up much better than a lot of trailers I’ve seen.
