Upgraded to Dometic 320 Toilet

I did it. Upgraded the toilet in our 2017 Wildwood 201bhxl to a Dometic 320

I cut out a 10" x 8 1/2" section of the wall trimmed out and Installed new Dometic 320 Toilet

Actually gave us more room in the front and on the sides. DW and I both like it.
Sits just like the thrones we have at home.

That's pretty ingenious. Looks good.
I've been wanting to change our toilet out to a 320 so I could install a bidet. But in our RV, there's a vent stack ran almost directly behind the toilet, so I'll need to do some investigating to see if cutting a section out would miss it.

Thanks for the pictures. Always getting ideas from things people do.

Nice job! We wholeheartedly agree, the 320 is the FIRST upgrade we made over the OEM junk plastic camping toilet. We installed the 320 with the sprayer kit on our 2019 Forest River Forester 3041DSF. The clearance was adequate and no modifications were needed. The 320 has the much preferable oval seat and sits higher as well.

Thank you all for the nice comments, at 6í 1Ē 225+ lbs needed the larger/higher seat.

My black water vent stack runs up on the left side on the area I had to cut out, pushed it back to the left by about a Ĺ inch when I put in the ĺ inch by 2 inch piece of yellow pine.

This was on an inside wall, there are a set of bunk beds on the other side.

Thanks, Again

Our dealer did our upgrade to the 320 before we picked up our new Cedar Creek. You'll especially appreciate it when it comes time to replace the seat and you can pick up a std model from the home center instead of ordering one from Dometic.

We did that, changed 310 to 320 toilet (with the spray kit) and a Bidet. We got the Brondell Swash bidet and absolutely LOVE IT! The elongated seat is sooooo much more comfortable.

My solution was slightly different as far as the rear clearance though.

The part that caused the interference was the ceramic cover behind the seat and above the vacuum breaker.

I used a 4" mini grinder and a diamond wheel to cut the ceramic cover about 1/2" on the top so it cleared the wall. The black you see is black duct tape put onthe toilet to protect it while cutting with the grinder. The solution worked perfectly.

Great clean looking install! I upgraded the our plastic toilet with ceramic #310 and love it! Would have liked to have upgraded to #320 but the wall was in the way. Wish I'd seen this before.
