what tow equalizers are people using

Hi Guys
Just wonder what tow equalizers are use guys using to tow your wildwood?
Mine is a 2013 281 BHXL Wildwood dry weight 5900lbs
Just curious what other guys are using?
I am selling my other Equalizer stabilizers bars with my old trailer so I need to upgrade.

I pulled a similar size and weight travel trailer the last two years and used an e2 equalizer hitch with friction sway control.
It worked well for me, but now, after learning more, I'd go for the E4 version.

sounds like what you have is a WDH, weight distributing hitch. not sure what brand you have.

Equal-i-zer is a brand name for an American-made WDH that has built-in sway control. since it has built-in sway control, it doesn't need friction bars like the chain-type WDH's. it doesn't have "stabilizer bars".

it's so well loved, it's become a common term for a WDH. sort of like Kleenex for any brand of tissue.

I am running the E2 system wit my 28bhxl and so far it has been great...easy to hook up.

I too am using an Equal-I-zer hitch towing a 281BHXL with my 5.7 liter Tundra. No problems so far. I really wanted the Andersen system but I don't think it's been around long enough to fully know what long term issues it may have. I'll wait and see.

I'm new to the whole thing so here's a limited experience response. We are pulling a 2011 Wildwood 22RKS about the same DW as you. Looking at the different hitch options, we settled on the Husky Center Line. Absolutely ecstatic about the result. Two shakedown trips so far on both interstate and two lane mountain roads with nothing but happy results. Would recommend you take a look at the Husky. Very heavy duty and easy to set up and use.

We had a husky wdh with sway control on our 32 prowler. Loved it. We let it go with the trailer when we sold it.

We have had our 300 BH for a few weeks now. I ordered the husky WDH with sway that amazon is selling. It came in today and I just finished putting what I could together ( waiting on a heavier receiver for my truck). I'm satisfied with the new husky, with the exception it only came with one friction control arm. The pictures only show one, but I was expecting it to have two.

you are probably going to want another wdh with integrated sway control like equal-i-zer or Reese dual cam. you will probably want the 1200/12000 lb bars. I have a TT of different make that had a dry weight just under your wild wood. I came in at 7000 lbs loaded giving me a tongue weight of close to 1000 lbs so the 1200 lb bars were appropriate.
