Wildwood 2013 FKBS ISSUES
I'll keep this short, because I just want to post as a warning.
In March, we purchased a brand new, never been used 2013 Wildwood FKBS. It had pretty much every upgrade possible. We stayed in it a few nights when we purchased it and didn't have any issues, so the first week of April we took it from our home in Nashville to a campground just outside of Richmond, VA. After a few days of staying in it, we noticed it was leaking water underneath and upon further inspection, the water seemed to be continuously running into it from the water connection.
We disconnected the water and called CoachNet, but because it was a Sunday, we were not able to have the unit diagnosed until the following Tuesday, so we stayed in our brand new unit without water for two nights.
The repair center found that the entire underneath was flooded; they drained a few dozen gallons of water from the bellypan that was missing any sort of overflow drain. The damage was extensive but fell short of totalling the unit just barely. The repair center found that two plumbing joints had glue that had failed and the water heater had a faulty element that would spray out water when the water heater was full. All told, the entire insulated lining under the trailer had to be replaced, and a large section of the kitchen cabinetry.
Our trailer spent six weeks in the repair shop. Once we got the trailer back and towed it back to Nashville, ANOTHER leak developed underneath the gray tank right at a joint. Currently we are fighting Forest River to retake possession of the unit because we feel they sold us a "lemon" as defined by the law. They are not being very helpful in the situation.
Has anyone else had issues with a 2013 FKBS?
