I have a 2011 26TBSS(not much different according to Forest River). We love ours and are taking it out first trip in 2012 this weekend. What questions do you have about it?

We have a 2010 26TBSS. Only taken it out on the road a couple of times and most times sits at the lake lot. We love it. Just the right size for our family of 4.

I have a 2011 26tbs, we have used it 6 times last year and love it! Only thing I have a problem with is the rocking whan anyone walks or even rolls over in the bed or bunks, the whole trailer shakes. Although it is only for a moment, if there are 6 people sleeping and moving in bed it can happen several times a night. This occures with the wheels chocked and stabilizers down. Besides this, we really enjoy it!

Get some stabilizers such as SteadyFast, rotochocks and they'll eliminate 90% of that movement.

What Dave said!
Triangulation is the key to stabilization!

Picking up ours in 2 weeks, curious as to what current owners are using as a TV. I have a 04 Hemi Durango with the tow/haul package and am wondering if it will be enough.Already posted in the towing section and seems like I will be ok but may be looking for a better option.

I was using a 2001 Tahoe with 150,000 miles until last week. It did the job but struggled on hills and the dealer didn't adjust the Equalizer hitch properly so there was some sway. Just got an 08 FORD F250 6.4L Diesel and it doesn't even know the trailer is back there.

We use a 06 F350 diesel. It's overkill but it feels safe! Get a good weight distribution hitch too. Makes all the difference even with my large truck!

Firedaniel, have you tried steady fast yet? We have the same issue with a family of 5 and our choc lab, it rocks a lot at night.

Installed last weekend makes a huge difference in the driveway. We are going on vacation the first of June for 10 nights. Should have a good report then.

How difficult was installation and how much did it cost?

Pretty straight forward. I didn't like the self tap bolts so I used grade 6 where it attached to the frame. Drilling the frame was the hardest part. Cost was $300 if I remember. Check out their website.
Good luck

Thanks, did you need a special drill or just a special bit?

No just a regular drill. It actually comes with a bit. But you will probably want one alittle smaller. It's pretty easy.

Very helpful info, thanks. I think I'm gonna get one because ours moves a lot with the three kids in the bunks. I've got girls but their not petite!
