Wildwood Lodge 40FDEN?

We spoke with our local dealer regarding a Destination trailer and he suggested the Wildwood Lodge 40FDEN to meet our needs, any advice on this unit would be appreciated.
We are trading in our 2018 Rockwood 5th wheel, we have had 5th wheels for the last 20 years as we travelled almost every weekend. But with the pandemic travel was restricted in our area so we purchased 9 acres on the water with 1200’ of beach frontage with the intent of towing again when things opened up. Well the truth of the matter we moved once in 2020 and not at all in 2021 and are loving it! We have no intentions on towing a unit in the future and believe that a destination trailer would better suit our needs, plus give us a little more sleeping accommodation on the occasions when the grandchildren want to stay. We also wanted something that also had front living area as the current layout of our site has us looking out at a light house.

Any advice would be appriciated.

I was never a fan of the destination trailers thinking they are to small of a piece of the puzzle making resale difficullt. I just purchased a 2010 Wildwood lodge sitting on a sesonal lot. Didnt really need the unit but wanted the site and it got me into the campground on the best lot with a deck and shed. I love the extra head room large windows and residential appliances.

We were happy with our present camper until we had the oppertunity to visit some friends with a dstination trailer and we struck with the extra room and windows. Since we do not plan to tow again we believe a dstination trailer better fits our needs.

we purchased ours after the campground had closed for season, so we are waiting for spring to really get into it. Planning on it being our summer home and taking our currant 5th wheel to flordia for our winter home and go back and forth between the two.

Pulled the trigger on a 40FDEN this week now have to wait until spring and the land dries a bit to have it dropped off at our beach lot. We looked at other trailers but believe the 40FDEN best meets our site.

Picture of last seasons setup.

We have a wildwood lodge 4092 BFL single loft and are happy with it. Due to the sliding door, all the windows up front and size two ACs are needed where we are. Overall we like ours but it does not stay on one lot.
