Window crank and Venetian blinds

My '08 Wildwood Sport has mini blinds on every window. The windows that open, have a crank handle that tangles with the slats. So, I solved the problem, at least for me. I took a pair of kitchen scissors and cut a few inches off of 3-4 slats that contact the handle.
Now, I can open and shut the windows without bending up the slats, or slicing up my fingers in the process. I cut the ends to have a rounded tip, like the stock slats.
This works great because, my blinds are attached at the bottom to they don't swing around in transit. And, I never raise them. I just open them and close them.Click image for larger version
