2014 Flagstaff Super Lite Slide control Module location
Hello,
I have a 2014 Flagstaff Super Lite that blows the fuse for the large slide out any time I travel with it. It does not blow when stationary and just fails to operate once you reach a new destination. Triggering the slide does not blow the fuse, it happens in transit. Both fuses for the large and small slide out are in the tongue on the slide out side.
We have traced the wires from the fuse back to the lippert control module, referring to the attached picture. This is in the compartment beside the water heater on the outside. When we remove the hot wire from this module, it only disables the front, smaller closet slide. This indicates to me that there should be a control module for the larger slide somewhere else. Of course, lippert says these locations are determined by the manufacturer, and forest river hasn’t returned my call. Lippert did confirm there should be one module per slide however.
I have looked in almost every interior and exterior compartment and cabinet. We dropped the belly pan and traced the wire all the way back to the slide, but no module under there.
My question is… anyone who owns this or a similar model that has found the control module for the large slide? My plan is if I can locate it to just run a new wire from there to the fuse to try and eliminate the short. No wiring we have traced so far appears damaged enough to cause the short.
Secondary question - has anyone experience the fuse issue that stemmed from a different cause than grounded wire? I did replace the breakaway cable after it got snagged and broken in the weedeater and the fuse started blowing on the next trip. I figure this is coincidental, don’t know how it could be related other than all the wiring is in the tongue together.
Thanks for any help you can give!
