We have a Classic Superlight.

Does the water pump pull antifreeze from a container attached to the inlet?

If your RV is equipped with a winterizing kit then when the valve is set properly it will pull antifreeze from the container. (See Photo) If you do not have a winterizing it, they are easy to install and only about $15. Be sure to bypass the WH. You may need to open a faucet to get it started. Don't forget outside shower.

If your pump has a bypass valve, you should see a small coil of unused white piping that would be extended and put into the antifreeze jugs as shown in the picture previously posted.

Also remove your inside water filter before winterizing but be sure to replace the empty filter canister securely in place as that will be filled with antifreeze as you fill the lines.

You need to provide more information. Year, make and model number.
Whether you can do this will vary wildly, by year/make/model number.

The 2014 Flagstaffs should have an antifreeze port on the outside of the camper.

You will need a longish length of clear vinyl tubing and a hose adapter that fits the tubing to connect it to the fitting in the side. Submerge the other end in a container of pure RV/Marine PINK antifreeze. Do not use automobile antifreeze! It is poison.

Make sure you have bypassed the water heater and flushed it.

Make sure your low point drains are closed.

Find your water pump and turn the selector (exactly like shown in the photo) to point up.

Remove the water filter from the canister and replace the canister without the filter. Buy a new one for next year.

Turn on the water pump. Open a single faucet and the pump should pull antifreeze within seconds. If not, you have a problem.

Thanks all.

I have usually just used an air compressor to blow the lines and prime the drains with RV anti freeze. We used to have a class A for about 10 years that I did the same but this year I expect it to be pretty cold so I was thinking maybe something extra as insurance. Of course when we got this thing in 2014 it didn't come with any manuals other than for the A/C, stove, toilet, hot water tank etc. Nothing about the fittings outside like the antifreeze inlet or the cable TV hookups etc.

All things about bypassing the hot water etc. I already know about and do but I wasn't sure if the inboard pump would pull antifreeze from a jug outside.

It will pull from outside through the hose, but there needs to be a demand; so opening a faucet is needed to get the pump to pull.

Don’t forget to push some antifreeze through the city water inlet first to flush out the check valve.

Camco makes a Hand pump that I use to winterize the city water and black tank flush check valves.

Good suggestions about the city water inlet. For the holding tanks I just pour a 1/4 jug down the drains.

Makes a difference how high you're trying to lift the antifreeze from the jug. Big difference from ground level to sitting on stool 3 ft closer to af inlet port, especially if you're using 1/2 or 5/8 Dia. hose

That pump pulls just fine with the gallon bottle sitting on the ground for me. Just an FYI

We stopped using the black flush about 2 years ago because we typically don’t have sewer service so it probably doesn’t have water in it,

Only takes forgetting it once to have sewer smell in the camper through the vacuum break in under the vanity.

I use the same pump to get a prime on the fresh water pump to pull the pink stuff in. Just put in a 5 gal bucket with the pink stuff, pump to prime hen open all the faucets etc.

Use the same pump as noted for the city water hookup and black tank flush.
