I have always claimed that I would be happy with 10 years of not having to re-apply.

The company has been around since 1985, but I have not heard of the product being used but for only the last 5-6 years.
Here is the actual warranty info off the Eternabond website...

actually I find TWO distinctly different warranty statements... the second states 15 years...

Quote:
RV LIMITED WARRANTY
ETERNABOND, INC. (“ETERNABOND”). warrants to the original purchaser
(“Purchaser”) of MicroSealant™ Putty tape, RV-EMT™ tape, an EternaSeam™ RV Roof Seam Eliminator Kit RoofSeal, WebSeal, AlumiBond, DoubleStick (each, the “Product”), that at the time of purchase the Product is free of defects in material and manufacturing workmanship that would adversely affect the performance of the Product. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXTENDED TO THE PURCHASER AND IS NOT TRANSFERABLE, and commences at the completion of the proper application of the Product and continues only for a period of twenty-five (25) years from such date. If Purchaser makes a claim covered by this warranty, ETERNABOND will provide at its option (i) replacement Product or (ii) a full refund of the purchase price, for the portion of the original Product that does not comply with the above warranty. Any replacement will be without charge to Purchaser (except for cost of shipping).

Of course they are only going to supply replacement tape... NOT FIX anything that was damaged.

Was up in the Black Hills for the first week of June. Coming across 90, we saw 2 5vers and one TT with a large section of their roof billowing in the wind. One we were able to flag down as we were behind them going west and the other two were on the east bound side and nothing we could do.

I think they don't want to lose the business of roof inspections and fixing leaks.

My problem with it is the forever part. Now if my roof has a tear in it ok, I’ll use it. If I’m on a trip and a leak pops up and no other choice, sure.

But let’s say you tape around a roof vent and a couple years later the vent cover cracks or breaks or for some reason needs repair? IF you can’t get it off for some reason you are likely to do more damage to the rv than not.

The IF is the issue. For me anyways.

I taped every seam on the roof. Front, rear, both sides and all penetrations minus the a/c. Cleaned the dicor and went right over it. Would do it over and over again on each new RV I may get, without questions.

It has only been about 2 years but it looks as good as new. I used black along the sides and rear. White on the main roof areas.

Guess that is why they call it Eternabond... eternally yours, you can never get rid of it... LOL

Eternabond does not come up easily, although a heat gun/hair drier and plastic putty blade does wonders
but the tape is very thin, you cut thru the tape at the vent edge, replace the vent and the old piece of tape still there can be taped over again after cleaning the surface... any number of times... remember it is eternal
