Camco Wheel Stops
I'm considering purchasing a set of Camco wheel stops for our new Flagstaff 25FBLS. I haven't taken delivery of the rig yet and I need to know the distance between the tires. These blocks come in two sizes, the largest being for a 3 1/2" - 5 1/2" gap. The pics of the trailer I have show it could be wider than that. I don't want to order until I know for sure. Can anybody please give me that measurement? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I know these are more expensive but they fit about any tandem setup and are very study. They fit between widths of less than 2" to almost 10". I have had mine for over 8 years and used on multiple trailers.

I used the between the wheels style for a while then got a set of Fastway's Onestep chocks. I feel that the Onesteps control bounce every bit as well, and are a lot easier to setup and remove. Took some playing to get the spacing setup properly, but that was a one time task.

Thanks Sam. What do you do when you're up on blocks for leveling? I love our Andersen levelers. I'm looking for more of the chocking function than the anti-movement. The Camcos appear to be pretty meaty too and they are really highly rated. It's that gap measurement I need right now so I get the right size. Thanks.

I would wait until you get the camper and use it. I have a 2511S(same camper) and I do not get any movement parked on my Andersen leveling chocks or the ground when on a level site.
Not saying a good strong wind does not shake the trailer once in a while but I always wondered if these things are for work on longer campers to reduce movement?

Thanks Dave. Your observation on the movement has been our experience as well with other rigs. I intend to use these wheel stops more for additional chocking while on levelers. There are times when you can’t fit a wheel chock snugly under a tire while it’s on boards or a leveler. I’ve used X-chocks before. They’re fine but pricey. The wheel stops look like a good solution for what I want them for without breaking the bank. Still looking for that measurement. Lots and lots of advice from some nice folks here. Once again, I’m looking for the size of the gap between the two tires (drivers or curb side doesn’t matter). Thanks!

I have a 4 3/4" space measured at the center-line of the wheels on my camper.
Edit: And that is at the high point of the tire.

Thank you Dave. You are the man! And the same model as mine to boot. I really appreciate it. Thanks for measuring that for me. Happy travels!

I use boards rather than blocks. With that said, as long as there are a few inches of flat surface before/after the tires they should work. Maybe haul a piece of 1/2" plywood to put on the blocks would work. Is there a gap between blocks when you use them? If no gap, there wouldn't be an issue.
