Crack in Kitchen Countertop

We’ve got a 2017 Forest River Flagstaff Super Lite 29fbws with what I believe to be Corian Kitchen Countertop. It has a crack in it from the outer edge to the sink. How can the crack be fixed? Any advice is appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

If you could post a pic I'm sure you'll get some answers.

Contact a local company that sells and installs countertops. They may say "It is not their brand and won't service it". But after all, as one that sold countertops, they are all about the same plastic goop. Unless it is man-made quartz or granite, then cracks can be filled but not repaired.

Most "solid surface" countertops are installed in pieces, pulled together with a sealant between the joints, and then polished.

The real question is why did it break or crack? That needs to be resolved.

Bob, the OP's countertop is not laminate. It's reported to be Corian. Corian is a 1/2" or 3/4" thick "plastic" substance that is machineable with woodworking tools.

The OP has three options.
1) Have a local cabinet shop use the old countertop as a template to make a new one of the same dimensions.
2) Order a new one from Forest River. Contact information below.

The countertop apparently spans two (or more) cabinets which have apparently shifted so the tops are not coplanar (in the same plane). The OP or cabinet shop needs to put shims beneath one or more cabinets so the tops are all in the same plane. A long straightedge could be used. You can't use a level here because trailers are rarely exactly level. Then the new countertop can be installed.

I'm very familiar with the Dupont product CORIAN. As a Kitchen Specialist at one of the big box stores, I sold it for 12 years and dealt with related complaints. Also, I dealt with HiMacs and Formica Solid Surface, and a couple of other brands. All about the same goop, different names, different color patterns. It is installed on-site in sections and bonded together at the seams. Very typical for any of these products to open up or crack at the seams. Solid surface means non-porous. That's all.

Something about the wording in your prior post led me to believe you were describing laminate. They do some similar filling on laminates when they have to make an "L."
