day/night rear window shade

The day night shade is not working across the rear window of the 5 er....
Day won t go up and night if up comes half way down when try to raise day shade....one of the strings on the side seems tight.....any input appreciated.....dealer said will fix or replace, but if something simple would prefer not making the trip and get it going again myself.....HELP?

Here are some stringing instructions for 2,3 & 4 string shades. You might have a frayed string which will require you to remove the shade from the wall.

Fixed Shade

Thanks for all the help......the handle cover was too long from the factory allowing the cap to twist - twisting the string inside the handle cover. Shortened handle cover (cut it to correct length)replaced cap- problem solved.....works great for now......Thanks to the FR warranty and CW right down the road....they fixed in an hour......while we shopped in the store for more camping stuff.....as our rig is way to far under gross.....
