When Mr. Arth-rigtous says it's ok, we (me) get 'er done. When Blue Beacon does the wash, does their chemicals remove the wax that took a week to put on?

Before and after
Always wash before and after a trip. If you do not remove the bugs from the front cap, the bug acid will destroy the front. Here in Florida, the love bugs have two seasons a year, if not removed within 2-3 days, the acid will eat right through the paint or finish.

Occasionally. When on long trips (50 days+) I take a brush and wash bucket. I have stayed at several RV parks that allow washing.
Inside is cleaned regularly.

Use meguiars spray on wax. Spray on, easy quick wipe off. Does a great job and only takes a short time to do. We wax every time we wash. If needed we will compound off black streaks etc and then wax. Blue beacon does an ok job but tell them to stay back from seals/caulk with pressure washers. Our blue beacon is 10-15 min from house so they know us well and recognize us every time we come in

Wash and wax for long trips. Do nothing on weekend or short trips. On the longer trips like when we good to Florida I cry every time when we get there. The front cap is usually completely covered with bugs when we arrive. My first job when we get there is to wipe down the front cap.

Same here. I clean camper and back into the building. Wife always ask why I'm washing my truck before the trip. Especially if we're going to the beach. At least I know it's clean before I left. Call me crazy.

We have ours on our driveway. Hubby washes it when we come home inside and out and that is when I do the big laundry. We have a panda so the small stuff is clean.

All you people that are washing/de-bugging the cap,how do you even reach up there? I could get about 1/2 way from the bed of the truck but that would look worse than not washing at all.

Are the folks who wash at commercial spots like Blue Beacon careful about things like your AC units and antennas on top? What about the roof? Do they wash it too?

Wash as soon as we get back. Wash on the road if we are gone long or get too dirty. EVERYTHING inside gets washed as soon as we get back. If it's a few weeks before we get out again, the bed linens get rewashed to be fresh. We're picking up a new cover next week to keep on when not in use. That way, we can wash it, dry it and cover it.

Have the truck and trailer washed and waxed in FL every year and when we get back from FL, I wash the front of the trailer to get the bugs off and that's it until we go back to FL. Might have the truck washed and waxed at the local Cadillac dealer sometime in the summer, which reminds me, it's time to make that appointment.

Wash before and after. I bought an electric powered pressure washer that fits in the basement easily. Comes in handy when the #%&@ lovebugs are out.

Always wash when home from a trip. Wash truck and trailer before heading out again. Who wants to travel with dirty equipment?
