I’ve been following this since it began. I believe the review was on a ‘20 geo pro.
I own a ‘20 19FBS. I’m sure the AC unit hasn’t changed. I saw that nobody had responded to question of noise level of AC and thought I’d respond

That's referred to as "Blast from the Center" a/c. It'd usually found in smaller trailers that don't have the much quieter ducted a/c.

The MY change occurs approximately mid-year. I bought my MY 2020 Mini-Lite in CY 2019. I ordered it in early September. They'd been out for awhile at that point. It shipped in October.

There’s so few changes from ‘20 to ‘21 models of geo pro to make any fuss. I believe they increased the solar wattage on the given package, the rest of the changes are very minor.

Just like the Auto Industry, the new year models are introduced the year before. 2021 models were introduced last year.
I bought my new 2007 Avalanche in October 2006.

My EPro was built in June of 2020 and is listed as a 2021 model. By June of 2020, many dealers had the 2021 models. I’m not sure when Forest River switches to a new model. Later in 2021 they released mid model year changes, most notable was the 12v refrigerator and larger solar panel. My model has the duel fuel refrigerator...

As for A/C, we run on high till we get it near where we want, then down to low. On high, you can barely have a conversation without raised voices. Low is tolerable. Usually gets so cold at night, we close the vent on the front, or it is blowing right on you in bed.

Kris,
My analog 'stat had too large a deadband (difference between coming on and shutting off) that made for too hot temperatures before the A/C kicked on and too cold before it shut off and consequently too cold before the heat kicked in and too hot when it shut off.
Many digital 'stats have a tighter deadband or even a programmable differental. A digital 'stat made a world of difference in ours.

And the analog thermostats have an "anticipator" hysteresis adjustment. It's on the back of the baseplate where no one bothers to look for it. We've had no trouble with this adjustment.
The Suburban manual explains this too, but no one looks there either.

After changing this adjustment on our analog thermostat several times, we simply replaced it with a digital that worked.
Some of us do bother to look.

The ol' hysteresis! Yeah, you want to be in that sweet spot that doesn't cause your equipment to cycle too often, but not so wide you're freezing or sweating in between cycles. The analog t-stat from Suburban only controls heat on our little unit, mine works fine without big gaps between cycles. Our A/C has the thermostat right on the unit on the roof, just a warm/cold knob, that seems to work ok.

NJKris..it’s been fairly cool yet on our first trip out so we’ve been able to keep AC off a lot! We did buy a small tabletop fan to circulate the air at night and keep, the unit off…peace and quiet!

Great write up. We are doing the same thing but getting the FDS. It doesn't have the gas stove but looking to add a portable one to the outside griddle hook up. Do you think that would work? The FDS doesn't come with the gas stove option. Only thing bad about the FDS.

You can do this. Just make sure the portable one has a removable regulator. The trailer hookup is already regulated and you can't use two back-to-back.
What's your backup plan for rainy days?

We were going to get a small quiet generator. Do you know a good one. We were going to boondock mostly. But most of the time will be in Colorado where it's mostly sunny.

I bought a 2,000 watt generator right after I purchased my TT. Then I added 200 watts of solar and have never used the generator since. I'm also boondocking mainly in Colorado and Utah.

Air Conditioner
I have owned my 19bh EPro since May 2019 (pulled her over 35k miles) and I believe the AC unit they put in this trailer is just too big. I have been in hot weather and still only used the Low AC...most of the time I use it (when needed) on a low AC setting on the dial and with windows open. I don't particularly like AC and this one will never get used on high in my Camp. lol

Like you, I try to get by on low. But when the camper is already hot after a day of traveling, it would take forever to cool down not being having a high setting. BTW, what's your definition of hot? For me it's 90 or better, straight temp or heat index. Add some sun and it feel like at least 100. I would rather have more capacity than not enough!
