Exterior Floodlights and trip planning software

I can't get one of the exterior floodlights to turn on in my 2013 8528BHWS which I purchased a couple of months ago. The manual is worthless. I've tried all the switches. Do these lights burn out? I'd need a tall ladder to get to it.

Also I asked awhile ago about trip planning software and never got a response. Got information on RV sites but I want something where you start at a certain point and end at a certain point and plan for interim stops--there I will look for campsites. For example, the first long trip I am planning is from central Maryland to Orlando, FL. I have no idea how many days I should plan to travel and what distance I should plan for each day. I know this depends on our driving but I want some tool that will give me options.

I love this RV, our first.

Here are your definitive answers, all in 1 shot:

1. Light - Bulb is burnt out. Get a ladder, pry off the lens remove old burnt out bulb and replace. You may be able to tell from the bulb what number it is, if not take it to the closest RV store and get help there.

2. Software - (a) Microsoft Streets and Trips 201x (later the better), and (2) AllStays Camp and RV (Android or iOS). The MS Streets and Trips will do your rote planning including overnight stops and using that you can look for campgrounds nearby each stop and verify with AllStays which is quite good.

1. RV is new and light is LED but I will get a tall ladder and check. Will an LED bulb that is burned out look like any other burned out bulb?

2. Tried ALLStays Camp and RV and it won't work on my Samsung Galaxy Note II Android. Will have to look into MS Streets and Trips. I avoid MS products like the plague since I consider them the ultimate in user unfriendly but I guess that is better than winging it. I am not worried about finding campgrounds nearby. I've found RVParky very useful for that.

Not sure how a burned out LED would look. Now that you mention that it is an LED I am wondering if that would be the culprit. Still if would be best to start the investigation there and test the socket with a multi-tester.

The Streets & Trips software has served me well over the years and like any other more useful program there is some learning curve associated with it. The time invested learning just the basics would be well worth it.

x2 on the MS Streets & Trips. I used it many years ago on an 8,000+ mile trip starting in MD, going out to the PNW, down through CA and then back. Choose where you want to stop, make them as such and use the "nearby" search at that stop. We took 3 weeks and had a blast.
