Flagstaff 176ED Wiring

Just bought an '03 176ED in super condition. No owner's manual. Would like to know where to get one. Also, when connecting the onboard battery, the white wire in the box is frame ground. I take it to be negative, correct? Also, I hooked up my inverter to the unit and expected to see the CO detector become active. It doesn't. The lights work so I'm assuming everything is fine. I am planning to light the furnace at home before doing any trips but would be hesitant to sleep in the camper with it running and no CO detector. Is there something I'm missing. Must I have the battery connected for the CO detector to work?

as far as an owner's manual, FR only supplies a generic one that's barely worth the paper it's printed on.

you be better off buying a book on RV's.
