Yes. Recheck it at a scale. Something is strange. My truck drops 1.5" in the rear and 0.5" in the front and we've about got the same setup. (Yes I know the mfg says to not lower the front with the wdh. Mine tows fabulously with the extra 240# on the nose. No wind buffeting at all.)

Truck and Trailer with 1000lb Bars
  • Steer Axle – 2960lb
  • Drive Axle – 3820lb
  • Trailer Axle – 7480lb
  • Gross Weight – 14260lb
Truck and Trailer with 1400lb bars
  • Steer Axle – 2960lb
  • Drive Axle – 3880lb
  • Trailer Axle – 7440lb
  • Gross Weight – 14260lb
The increase of 20 lbs. overall is from the 1400lb bars weighing more than the 1000’s. The extra 40 lbs. on the drive axle is from extra weight I had in the truck bed that was not there the last time I weighed. I ordered a tongue weight scale to get the exact tongue weight. I wonder if I should get rid of the two 30lb propane tanks, (110 lbs) because I only use them to cook, not heat. Once I have a tongue weight, I can start shifting some of the weight more evenly throughout the rig. In any case, the overall rig rides great, no sway, not affected by passing trucks, just a 2 ½ to 3 inch drop in the rear!
