I use the Allstays Truck and Travel App, while planning my trip. It shows information about the truck stops, number of parking spots, services at that location (showers, food, etc.), reviews, what credit cards they accept, number of truck lanes, and a satellite view of the stop, so you can see how it is laid out, before you try to navigate through it. It shows every location claiming to be a truckstop.
I figure how far I want to travel, before I stop, look at the truckstops in the area, and then pick the one I want to "visit." It is especially good, when traveling to a new area and deciding a route. If there are no truck stops, within the stop "window" I adjust the route. We usually stop for lunch and top off the tanks at the same time, so we like to see how many parking spots and how packed those spots usually are.
Finally, this lets you see the other truckstops a little bit away from the interstate, where you are likely to pay slightly less for the diesel fuel.

Don't laugh. We have fixed numerous Fed-Ex contractor delivery trucks when the contractors fill them with gas instead of diesel.
Even says diesel on the fuel door....

Depends on what you are used to. About 13 hours is my max and a planned stop is usually no less than 6 hours. I do 730 often to visit my brother and daughter's family. That trip I have made 3 times in a month.
Maybe when I get older I'll plan on less (69 next month).

You and I may be the only ones to figure on accomplishing that. I'd find the 1/2 way point and hope for 75 - 100 miles beyond. Have fun!

Just found out my brother is having surgery. Will be leaving in a few hours as I'll not be able to sleep anyway. 737 miles ~~ should not be much traffic overnight.

Get the Pilot/FlyingJ app and also a Good Sam Pilot/FlyingJ Fuel card. Good at all of those places and you get a discount.

Never hurry anywhere. Life is too short as it is. It's a vacation so I drive in the slow lane, stop and rubberneck often and 'smell all the roses along the way'
When you get to be my age, hurry up is a thing of the past....
My only 'hurry up' is my morning urination....

That will be me as soon as I stop working thus eliminating limited vacation windows.

Though I have not traveled any long distances on the east coast yet, even though I live in Northern NY, I can imagine it is much different that going cross country. Almost every exit has fuel, both gas and diesel. If you pay attention you can see the very high signs above each station coming in the distance. Using Gas Buddy is a great way to know when and where the next station(s) are located. Depending on your vehicle you can review how may MPG you are currently getting as you travel and somewhere on the same or next screen there is probably a indication of how many miles you have left in the tank. You can then plan your next stop accordingly. Some of the stops will be actual exits off the interstates while others a just fuel and maintenance and food plazas. Either way fueling is general quite painless. Our last trip was for the entire month of June from NY to CO and back to NY (A little over 5,000 miles in total.) and each stop for diesel turned out to be a very simple process. I stayed away from the islands that were generally supplying fuel to gas vehicles and concentrated on using the truck or RV islands.
The only problem I ran into was filling up my DEF tank at one pump. I don't know if they are all the same but the pump I used did not have a automatic shutoff so I inconveniently sprayed DEF all over the side of my truck and the ground. After that I just utilized the DEF in a box. I managed to use a fair amount of DEF while traveling in the Rockies.
Good luck on your trip and do have fun !

Roger that!
And I chuckle at the folks who calculate to save pennies at the pump.
My motto is, 'I'm retired. Go around me.'
We just did ~7,000 r/t miles cross country at 55 mph.

We're on the last legs of a 5000 mile round trip. I do 65 MPH or the speed limit, whichever is slower.
