Hardwired surge protector installation

My wife and I are about to pick up a new Flagstaff Microlite 25FBLS. Our previous unit was a 2017 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS 5th wheel; we wanted something a little smaller.

I'd like to install a hardwired Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C surge protector, which requires interrupting the incoming 10-3 power cable, inside a cabinet or other accessible area, before the circuit breaker panel. Has anyone installed one of these in a 25FBLS? If so, where can I gain access the 10-3 cable to interrupt it between the exterior connection point and the circuit breaker panel? I have not looked closely, but I hope I can reach it in the TV cabinet near the panel. I installed a 50A version in our Reflection and it worked great.

Also, someone in an earlier post discussed adding a separate circuit for an electric heater. Our new 25FBLS has an electric fireplace below the TV. Is that not sufficient to heat the interior when we're not using the LP furnace? Our previous one warmed our 5th wheel very well.

I haven't installed one in that model but on others I installed it right at the distribution panel. That works well if you have room to mount it.
I have one to sell, just need to list it in the classifieds again. I upgraded to a 50 amp camper.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. You are comparing apples to oranges between the Grand Design Flagstaff when talking power available for appliances. The recommendation for mounting behind the distribution panel/converter is a good one. You might want to think about a portable for ease of use and being able to go with you should you change rigs.
