I just can't unsee it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was putting a coat of wax on my 2018 Superlite 29RKWS . On the slide where the topper attaches to the side wall, I found a small crack about an inch long at the end of the bracket. (probably due to overtightening)
So do I.....

1. pretend I did not see it? ( not an option)

2. run some caulk on it & keep an eye on it?

3. drill small hole at end of crack & caulk?

4. just leave it?

Wish I had a picture of it but getting to dark

I was stuck on this part.........I admire anybody who spends the time to wash and wax their vehicles. For some reason I just can't get into it.

As for your dilemma.......I couldn't do #1 either, so I would go with #3.

Normally without a doubt I would do #3 first and then #2. However, I have questions. Was this from something done at the factory or dealer and is you coach still under the last bit of warranty? Obviously if under warranty, get it fixed if not then...

This is precisely correct. By carefully drilling right at the end of the crack you take all the stress that was focused on that TINY point where both halves come together. Those stresses are what causes the crack to run.

By drilling the hole it spreads the stress out in the entire circle of the drilled hole and the crack stops "growing"

The fact you used the term "stop drill" told me you were in aviation in the US Military. Civilians don't seem to use that exact phrase. *S*
