A few years ago (2011) I had a Flagstaff 8528ckws. We were pretty happy with it but it had a couple of minor problems (radio died and one axel had suspension messed up so rode very close to top of wheel well). Anyhow, my wife has trouble with steps so we decided a regular pull behind travel trailer would do well. Last summer we traded for a Primetime Avenger. I immediately knew I had made a mistake. The trailer was 34 ft vs 32 for the Flagstaff plus 5 ft or so of a fifth wheel is over the bed of the truck and thus pulls like a 27 ft. The trailer gave me problems on cornering and fitting into campsites etc. Also the Avenger is an entry level trailer. It was inexpensive for an rv and it showed in construction and features. So I immediately started missing my Flagstaff.
I have finally managed to get back to the Flagstaff. We got a 2016 8528rkws. Haven't even gotten it loaded and gone camping in it yet but I am really happy with it. Of course it was a good bit more than the Avenger but you get what you pay for. Every time I look at it I find something else I really like. They have added a lot of features my 2011 didn't have. Too many to list here but I'm sure this will be my lifetime rv. I've always said do what you have to do to get exactly what you want and you will be much better off and happier with your purchase no matter what it is. I'm now a happy camper again..
We love our new Flagstaff 8528 IKWS (maybe IKBS can't remember offhand). We traded a 2014 Flagstaff bunkhouse in for this new 2017. Love all the space and features.
