Leaking shower drain connections in 2013 832IKBS

On the front of our shower is a small access panel to the area below the shower. I removed this and found the drain line connections were loose and had been dripping water. The main flooring is cut away just below the drain to allow room for the U-trap. The cutaway goes all the way through the insulation to the plywood sub-floor. The damage didn't seem very extensive so I poured some water absorbent down there for a couple of weeks and it seems to have dried things out.
I also checked all of the connections in the bathroom and kitchen sinks and found i could tighten them a little more. Good things to check before you put the trailer away for the winter.

Hi,
Been off the forums for a while.
Just checked ours and it is dry. But, very surprised how little support is under the shower floor. It seems to do the job, but you can feel the floor flex a touch when stepping in certain spots.

Same happens in my shower. There is a "soft spot" between the drain hole and the tub side just below the doorway. I figure that there must be no support in that area. One of these days I intend to open the panel mentioned and see if any support can be erected there.

Does anyone have a picture of this panel that they are referring to?

use expanding spray foam to 'firm up' the show floor from below. What they use in residential construction to set a tub.

At work right now. Will take a photo tonight.
It is a plastic panel on the shower base immediately beneath the shower door. You step up over the panel door when entering the shower. It is roughly 8" by 6" in size and secured with 4 screws on the corners.

Similar problem happened for us with our last RV--a 2013 Coachmen Mirada 34bh, and also for a friend of ours who had the same coach. Since my rv was still under warranty, I had the dealer fix it. Their solution was a bead of silicone around the joint... not something that I would have done (seems like a band aid instead of a cure), but it did stop the leak, and I didn't have to soak up water with a towel after our showers...

This is the access panel to service the plumbing beneath the shower floor.
