looking at v-lites

My husband and i just got through looking at a V-lite 30WRLS. They quoted us 22,800. Is that a pretty good price? How well do these hold up and what are the pro's and con's? We have also looked at Jaycos. Does anyone know how they compare?

Personally I can't understand any attaction to Jayco products. Every rv they build no matter if it cost 10,000 or 50,000 has the same cheap linoleum. The decor designers must be the flunkys from school. Never have I seen anything so gross as the patterns they choose. I went to RV show recently which featured Jayco products with anopen mind and could not find anything I would rather have than Rockwood or Forest River product.

We have an SV 291 made by Forest River, an 09 model by the way. We purchased it in May of 08. We have been very pleased with the TT and have towed it for about three thousand miles since May of 08. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The beds are cheap...upgrade to a better mattress. Check the water connections under the storage spaces, they seem to work loose after the first trip....
Keep this in mind......it's not a house, never compare it to a house. Things go wrong in a TT and thats the joy of being on the road with a TT.

I own a 30 wrls Flagstaff V lite, and we absolutely love ours! I have to say that mine has really been good to us. Sure, any new camper- regardless of the brand will have some minor issues come up to be repaired, but we have had good luck with ours. Just love the front closet, and everything being powered. The tongue jack and awning, as well as the HDTV, and the airbed couch is nice. Also, auto lighting water heater, and fridge, and gas stove! Negatives are small holding tanks, and fresh tank, 2 separate grey water tanks, and the not so lite weight. I have an 06 Hemi Ram 1500, and I really need more power, or at least a different rear gear. 3:54. Automatic. 7.5 mpg towing at 60/65.
As for that price, that's great. We paid almost 30 large, from a dealer lot. Good Luck! Randy

We love ours got it june 2008. Only problem was the shower leaked and hubby sealed it. We plan on living in ours for three months during the summer when he retires. We bought ours from a Wholesaler and paid 10,000 less.

I know when we go camping it draws attention.
