Micro Lite 23LB Front Window

Is there a Forest River representative or anyone who can tell me if you can order the new 2018 Micro Lite 23LB without the front window? It's the body style with the curved front. Some campers with the older body style (the more square looking front) came without front windows. We really do not want the front window and are hoping they can be special ordered without it. Thanks in advance!

The window comes with units without the Murphy Bed.

There is no FR rep here, for the Rockwood/Flagstaff lines. And they are the only FR brands that have such a front window.

I hope you know that this Forum has NO affiliation with Forest River Inc.
And the handful of members here, that are FR employees, are members by their own volition.
They are here because they want to help owners of the brand they represent.
I would guess we have 5 or less of them here.

I would guess that you would need to buy a previous year model if you don't want the front window.

I should say “came” because I did find a picture of a 2018 21DS with the window and a Murphy Bed. Looks like a change for this model year.

I have a FR 2109s with the flat front window. I'm in the process of getting it repaired. In 1 year of use, 12000 miles +, it is chipped and cracked. It already needs replacement. I want to completely eliminate the front window as it really has no use for us. If your bed backs up to the window (I couldn't find a pic of that model) it really is a waste for several reasons. I plan to find, or build a cover to go over the entire window.

If you love the front queen bed, it looks like those models have that arrangement, see if you can come up with a cover for the window, or have it removed and replaced with a solid cover. We covered ours up with a truck shade immediately. The cold air comes through that window and right on your head! *LOL*

Another option to possible protect the window is to install a bike rack in front of the window. The presence of the bikes would deflect some stones and protect from branches. Use of a bike cover would increase the protection of the window.

Two common carriers are the Jack-IT and a Stromberg Carlson jack.
The first positions the bikes closer to the window and further back from your truck tailgate.

The Stromberg Carlson jack positions the bikes further from the window, but closer to the tailgate.

The 21 DS with the Murphy bed option does not have a window. That is one of the reasons we got that model. We love it.

We just traded in our 2017 23LB in Denver and it does not have a front window... Go buy it!!
