Microlite 21DS Weber Q Propane Grill Conversion
Bought a 10 foot hose/connector conversion kit on Amazon making it possible to run my Weber Q series grill off my trailer propane connection. No more green propane bottles for me!
All I had to do was remove the regulator on the grill and screw on the brass connector that came with the kit. Works great.

Can’t speak for the OP but this is the hose I bought for the same conversion. Works perfectly.

So you're totally ignoring the low pressure quick connection on the side of the trailer, right? If you removed the regulator, how do you adjust the flame?

No. I'm connected to the low pressure connection (hence, the reason I removed the pressure regulator on the BBQ).

On a Weber Q the LP regulator is a separate piece from the control knob unlike some others where the LP regulator is part of a combined assembly with the flame control.

I did this mod to my Q some years ago. The flame is adjustable as normal. No issues at all.

Ah, I get it now!
BD Nomad, so I guess I'm confused why you're not connected to the side port?

Well, at least now you can grab the handle at the regulator side. I can hardly grip the handle on mine at home with the oe regulator/control. What were they thinking?

I don't know what you mean by "side port" as I am connected to the micro lite's low pressure connection at the rear.

I should clarify in that I am connected to the low pressure quick connect fitting as shown in the original photo located on the right side of the trailer between the rear axle and the rear bumper of the trailer.

I guess it's different on your trailer. On mine, the port is located on the side over the wheel well.

I just went to the local hardware store for the fittings needed. Simple quick disconnect couplings.

Should be easy. Check PropaneGear.com or talk to the folks at Torjik. They're super helpful.
I used their kit a year or two ago and love the conversion:

Thanks for the info! I did the same conversion on our Nexgrill a while back but had to hunt down the fittings myself. We're still using it at camp, but the next time it needs an expensive repair, it's history. With an all stainless body, that may be a while. When it gives up, the current Weber becomes our camp grill, and we will buy another one for home.
