Question Microlite 23LB - questions

Just purchased a new 2015 Microlite 23LB. Have a couple general questions hoping that someone here can answer:

The bunk ladder did not come with any hooks to secure to the top bunk - would actually be dangerous to attempt to use. Should it have come with hooks?

The quick connect LP hose for the grill doesn't actually reach the grill that came with it (a few inches short). Sure seems like it should - anyone else have this issue? I know I can buy an extension if needed.

Where is the water filter installed? It came with one, but isn't obvious where it goes.

Thanks.

I just bought an 8" pipe nipple and moved the whole assembly out toward the edge of the camper. I also just cut the hose and added a 4' section with barbed ends and hose clamps.

Where ever the water filter is consider removing it. My filter canister backed it's way out abs blew water all over the place. I happened to be close by and shut the water off. And yes...it was tight. The teeth on the canister are supposed to lock it into place. Didn't!!! Got the corner of the camper dried out with a shop vac and sunshine.

I have an older 23lb and the water filter is upfront in the pass through but I think in the newer models they moved the hot water heater under the bunks. Take a look there and see if you see the filter.

We have a 2013 2306 which is the rockwood model of the 23lb. Our water filter was under the bunk bed. We had it removed. We use an exterior filter.

I have the Rockwood model 2306, same trailer. The bunk ladder is sort of pitiful. It has rubber feet on it and I guess it holds well enough but hooks would be good. I keep telling myself I will build a better ladder but we use it little. My 21 year old daughter had to sleep up there on one trip and she just stood on the bottom bunk and sort of jumped up.

If you mount the grill on the side of the trailer where it is meant to go the hose has to be long enough. If yours is not I bet it's tangled up in something. That hose comes from under the dinette seat closest to the wall with the TV and stereo on it. Remove the seat top and look in there. Probably stuck on something.

If you have the Murphy bed option the water filter is in the side door that leads to under the lower bunk bed. It is behind a partician that you have to remove. If you don't have the Murphy bed then it is under the bed somewhere.

We bought our 23lb used and it didn't come with a ladder, my 12 year just hops up on the top bunk on her own by standing on the bottom bunk.
