Mystery material?

I've have been trying to put a shine on the front of my Flagstaff fifth wheel (8529IKBS), to get it ready for the bugs. The front cap was no problem using Gel-Gloss. But below (the surrounding of the front cargo door and under the bedroom) none of the wax's or polish's I have work on whatever this stuff is. Everything just streaks and leaves a dull finish.

What is this stuff.....and how do you make it shine?

If you are referring to the tan painted sheet metal flashing that curves under. I don't think it's meant to shine. Looks like flat tan paint to me. I wash it, but, like you say it doesn't really like wax. The 303 might be a safe bet if you gotta. Shine? don't think so.

It's not metal....more like a plastic I guess. Bugs seem to come off shine easier than dull, that's why I've been going for shine (not to mention things look better that way....to me anyway).
