New Owner Questions Flagstaff 831 FKBSS
I just bought my first camper a few months ago - Flagstaff 831 FKBSS. It was used and needed some work. Nothing that I couldn't handle, but I do have a couple questions....
1. The power plug - What's the best length of 30amp service plug to buy. I plan on storing it at the beach and all of their service pole distances seem to be pretty consistent.
2. I found out today that the box that I thought was a phone charger station is actually an XM satellite holder. I've never had XM radio so I had no clue what a holder for one looked like. Is there a specific size for that or are all the receivers the same?
3. The TV was stolen. I can almost fit a 32" TV in there. I've only got 28.25" to work with. The smallest width TV I found is 28.5" - with a hand block plane I think I can get that extra 1/4" off each side and make it fit.
4. This one I know is a hot topic but I haven't found my situation yet. The awning tube is straight but is pancaked/ flat in the center and expands 2-3' to the right and left of center. What's the best way to fix this? My thought was to take a 2.5" piece of PVC and drive it down through the tube and then massage it with a rubber hammer. I have to replace the awning cover so I thought now was the time to repair the tube. I checked around for prices, but a 20' tube runs about $400-$450 shipped.
Is there anything else that I'm missing as a noobie? All the power functions are great. Slides, windows, HVAC all work. I need to reattach the toilet to the floor and the water line reconnected. I plan on taking it and having all the water lines, gas lines and power sources inspected before I hit the road.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
