New V-Lite 30WTBSV

After replacing 4 failed Dometic 15K BTU units and 1 Coleman Mach in my 2015 Cherokee Limited 274DBH, I've traded the camper in for what I hope to be something much more reliable. The 2 year warranty on the Coleman was coming to an end and with the trailer being only 4 years old, I had enough of not being cool. Last year we traveled to Galveston Island towards the last week in July and stayed a week at Jamaica Beach RV Park. During that stay, temperatures inside the camper reached 90 degrees with the air running wide open and with 2 squirrel cage fans running. That was the deciding factor for me to start looking. Then the Coleman went out and I got my last warranty replacement.(6 units in 4 years) Got more on my trade than anticipated and the dealer worked with me on the new camper.
So, I'm looking at the overall build of this one compared to the other and I'm impressed. Better quality slide seals, enclosed underside, dual air conditioners ducted together, better use of storage, nicer cabinets and countertops. I hope this one does me better than the last. Now, to find an open date on the calendar to go camping....

Congrats on your purchase of a V-Lite. And welcome to the V-nose group. You will find that these units are well built and have minor issues. I'm on my 2nd V-nose and love it. Later RJD

I researched for months on a flagstaff purchase. Primarily I was looking to stay under 8000 pounds. Started with just the bunkhouses and never looked at a V nose. Went to a local dealer and looked at the Flagstaffs just to see how they were made and I was impressed but they wouldn't come off of $33K. I needed to be around $30K to keep my note almost the same and then I ran across two of them at the same dealer. Looked at them and negotiated price and trade without them even seeing my camper. They gave me $12,000 for my trade(owed 9,000) and came down to a total with tax, license and fees of $31,500. Handled it all up front so all I had to do was go to credit union and sign papers, then back to the dealer for their paperwork and walk through. Whole process took about 3 hours not including the drive. Hoping the minor problems are easy to get fixed as I'm seeing FR no longer offers the second year option on warranty. Bought me a new Curt True Track to tow it with. Much better than bars and chains.
