Nitrogen filled tires
So, we are waiting for dealer to get our new Flagstaff 25fks--while we are waiting, we have a question. It says the tires are nitrogen filled.
What do we do to air them up if they get low?

use 78% nitro... Regular air. This will be a debate but it is a gimmick in my opinion. Just use regular air and travel on.

Add air. You will find lots of threads here on this subject that go on forever. Most people will say that for consumer use ( auto and RV tires) there is little to no benefit to Nitrogen only . The air around us is 78% nitrogen anyway.

The theory is nitrogen runs cooler and maintains the proper air PSI over regular station air. Mine had nitrogen when purchased as well had to put more air in them a few months latter anyways. Its a big joke.

Used mostly in auto racing, supposed larger molecules in pure nitrogen that won't bleed through the rubber and very little moisture so the heat will cause minimal increase in tire pressure for 4 hours of intense speed. To be effective the tire is supposed to be filled and purged at least 3 times to get a proper fill. I doubt that any installer will go to that trouble in normal use.

I'm not sure I agree with nitrogen inflation being a scam. I think scientifically it works, but I have no proof. For someone who has nitrogen inflation, adding regular air in tires that have nitrogen in them is not a problem.

PV=nRT for nitrogen, oxygen and 80% nitrogen 20% oxygen. Molecule size has nothing to do with temperature vs pressure equation. FULL STOP
