No tank heaters for 17PR?

Just bought the 17PR and took to my local dealer to have tank heaters installed for winter camping. He tells me that the water tank hangs down too low for tank heater to be installed? I rented one from them recently, a 20 footer and it had tank heaters on it. Flagstaff has closed for the day but i am going to be really annoyed if I cannot have them installed.. Is this true?

Unless the tanks hang below the axle, which I can't imagine, I don't see them being too low to install heating pads.

I see no heated holding tanks, as a standard or an option, on the E Pro website.

Did you not ask the salesperson about tank heaters, either factory-installed or after-market / dealer-installed, during the purchase negotiations? If you did, what were you told at the time?

why are you going to get so 'annoyed' if you can't have tank heaters?

tank heaters

I purchased this from Wisconsin and asked the salesman if it came with tank heaters and he told me no. He did not indicate that they could not be installed on this model because the tank hangs too low. Since I recently rented a similar model with tank heaters, I assumed that they could be installed.

FormerFr - we camp all year around and in Nevada we have winter, hard to use your water system when it is below freezing, need the tank heaters.

Appreciate your comments, my fault and will have to come up with a solution.

Happy Holidays

They are only heating pads so I don't see a problem with tank to low. Did you ask the service dept? Sales guys don't always have the right answer or don't want to deal with things that don't line their pockets. IMO

Tank heaters are just pads no more than 1/2" thick. If that's gonna cause the tank to bottom out, your trailer has far bigger problems than just not having a tank heater!

So the answer is no, you didn't ask and you assumed the sales guy could read your mind. You have every right to be upset, but the person you should be upset with is you, not the sales guy.
