It would drive me nuts to have a brand new camper that I can't use for months. I brought mine home then went on a 10 day, 2800 mile trip for our very first outing.

Have them demo all the water systems and rewinterize it.

Excellent advice.
And watch while they do it so you understand how to do it yourself.

Congratulations! Man, there are so many different camper models out there that you only get to see a few of them because dealers have this or that and you don't know what lines and models they carry. It gets confusing to a certain degree.

Thanks for the thanks! Picked it up and brought it home. It will sit until spring but I wont have to go get it when everyone else is picking theirs up also! Quiet there today. Never had a 5th wheel and ride is different than pulling a TT. Less swaying but seams to feel bumpy. I think I'm feeling every bump the camper hits through the hitch and into my seat. Matter of getting use to I guess. Can't wait for spring!!!!

We're in the same boat or RV if you will. Bought our first, Rockwood 2506s, in November and chomping at the bit to use it. In fact I went to the storage yard and just sat in it yesterday. We're taking a day trip after Christmas just to get used to things before we make an extended run.

That's been the case with every new rig we've ever got.
You'll feel every bump and hear every little noise.

Before you know it, you'll be using that familiar phrase...
"I can't even tell it's back there!"

Congrats! Like someone said it will kill me on having a brand new fiver in the driveway or storage and can't go no where, well as least that you have something to look forward to, can you post some pics?

I feel your guys pain. I also picked up our early "Christmas" present a couple of weeks ago and it too is sitting in our driveway.

Like you JMC, I went and sat in it and watched TV for an hour or so, Come On Spring!!
