So the decal on the front of our last camper (a 2004 Northern Lite 10-2000RR truck camper) was faded even though it was always under the pole barn.
Unfortunately, the sun shined on the front. The sides looked good till the day we sold it. I decided the new camper needed a sunshade.
So I decided to make a "shower curtain".
Some small springs will hopefully dampen any gusty wind to prevent the mesh from tearing:
I also employed a swivel pulley to make it easier to slide the sunshade in front of the camper after it was parked:
The lower cable needed to be removable. A large eye bolt with quick clips and a huge wing nut to make it easier to tighten:
I bought a 90% shade cloth tarp that allows some breeze to pass through:
The right side cable is fed through eye bolts and the springs:
The left side cable is hooked around "J" hooks:
Made a ladder so I wouldn't have to pull out the 8 footer all the time:
