Reese Revolution

My new to me has the Revolution pinbox. I need to get rails put in my truck and hitch. Can I also get a slider hitch? What should I look at in a hitch that will work well?

Yep, very new to this: It is the 30 foot Flagstaff 5th wheel with the Reese Revolution kingpin. My truck is 06 F350 Super duty.

I know the revolution slides so I don't think I need a hitch that also slides. I must get rails as puck wasn't around in 06.

WyGal, if you are going to use the Reese Revolution unlocked then you don’t need a slider hitch. If you do get a slider hitch, you’ll need to lockout the Revolution to prevent it from turning. A non-slider hitch will be significantly less expensive.

The Revolution does not slide, it simply moves the pivot point back from the hitch about 22"

To use the Revolution feature you don't need a sliding hitch although you can use a sliding hitch as long as it is not an automatic slider. The hitch plate needs to remain stationary. You will also need a wedge to couple the Revolution pin box to the hitch. Most Revolutions came with a universal wedge but my experience was getting the correct wedge to fit your particular hitch made for a better hitching experience and towing experience. (less chucking)

If you don't plan to use the Revolution feature (pin box locked/pinned) it becomes a traditional style pin box and then, the use of a sliding hitch is more of a personal preference.

Here's a quick video of the wedge and the Revolution.
I suggest you look for other videos/documentation to familiarize yourself with the Revolution pin box feature.
