Replacement mattress for Murphy Bed

I have a 2017 Micro lite 25 BHS towing with a 2014 silverado LT V 6. My wife And I have found the mattress to be less than comfortable. I’ve been looking at an 8” memory foam RV Queen mattress to replace it. Has anyone had issues with a mattress like this preventing closing of the Murphy bed?

Update

After additional research I purchased the Zinus 8” short Queen green tea infused gel memory foam mattress. We removed the the original mattress and laid the new one on the base and let it expand for 48 hours. We haven’t tested it camping yet but it already feels much more supportive. Also the Murphy bed was able to be put back with no issue at all. The mattress weighs about 40 lbs but seems to be similar if not less than the original mattress we removed.[ATTACH]206012

I’m wondering how thick of a mattress will fit in my Murphy bed?

Flagstaff E-Pro (17ft), we also have Murphy bed and use 7" "stock" mattress with a economy grade (1 1/2") foam "egg-shell" for additional cushioning. I estimate our Murphy bed would accept only another 1 1/2" (max) of padding.

Added a 2" memory foam mattress to existing mattress in our 25BDS. Works great, sleeps great.

We have a 2016 25BHS and that stock mattress was horrible. We replaced ours with the Zinus mattress from Amazon so much better. We had thought about a topper but the cost wasn't much different to just replace it.
