Speaker

While trying to trace down a wire, I removed an access panel in my pass thru storage. I found a black box approx. 8x12 bolted to the floor. It is a speaker. I assume it's an alarm of some sort. Does anyone have an idea what's it's hooked up to?

The OP has a Flagstaff 8529 csb.

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section to the Flagstaff sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Flagstaff product and are not general community questions

As Bikendan said, I have a 2022 flagstaff 8529CSB. The speaker is located behind a panel in the front basement storage.

The area where this is located is under the bathroom so it doesn't make much sense to me for it to be a sub woofer.

That's a sub, I'm 99% sure. Low notes are omnidirectional and can carry pretty far, even through walls. My Class A had it under the refrigerator even though our main speakers and TV were up near the driver and passenger.

How does it sound when you play music with some bass in it? Do you get thumpa-thumpa?

That is definitely a subwoofer. One obvious sign is the vent port on it. Now you have me curious as to where I might find one in my TT, as I believe it came with one.

I will crank up the stereo when I get back from a fishing trip to Saranac Lake Monday. Until then, I will just keep wondering I'll post results after I do. Thanks everyone!!
