Strange Antenna

i have a strange silver antenna mounted next to a black device on the roof of my 2021 Flagstaff Micro Lite 22,FBS. Not the wifi booster - that's above the door. This is closer to the front.

My dealer was pretty useless, don't get me started.

Digging feverishly through the forum. Took delivery late afternoon today, moving out in the AM.

Thanks in advance and apologies if my search-foo failed me and the answer is already here.

I have a radio antenna on my 2020 Flagstaff MicroLite 21DS - it's a silver whip antenna about 2 feet tall.

That's about right - 2' whip style. Just for AM/FM?

I was hoping the WifiRanger router was included but doesn't look like it.

Thanks for the info!

The Wifi Ranger on mine is a small clear plastic box on the roof with two 4" rubber antennas sticking out of the top. The box is probably 3"x4"x2" tall

Same. They make a router too - my goal was to boost cell signal and plug that into the router using my cell as the source for data and the router for other devices to connect to. More to follow as I figure it out. Looks like multiple threads on it.

Good luck with it. If you get a good result I would love it if you would share here. I tried the Ranger twice and found it clunky and slow, so I gave up and went back to just using my phone as a hotspot.

Yes, just for AM/FM. If it has a ball at the base you can loosen the screw and lay it down so it isn't smacking trees as you travel.

It works a lot better than the 9 inch piece of c**p on the side of my TT. I disconnected it and tapped into the winegard antenna.

I ended up having almost full LTE reception in the camper. I used my phone as a hotspot, connected wifiranger to it, then all other devices to the ranger. So far so good - two users with devices, streaming media, etc.
