Unhappy TV Antenna boost switch, 2014 Flagstaff

Cannot find the TV booster for my recently purchased 2014 Flagstaff Super Lite model 27RLWS. Customer service has some suggestions but so far no luck.

It is not on the COAX face plate as all other RVs that I've owned.

What type of antenna do you have and is there more than one tv hook up. On our wildcat it was located in the bedroom at the tv hook up.

While a long shot, your antenna may not be amplified, or the amplifier may not have been installed. Pull both plates and see if there are any wires near the plate, probably white and white/red stripe. You can also check the coax at the antenna with a volt meter to see if it may already be getting 12 volts from the center wire to the outside connector. Then there is an amplifier somewhere you just have to find it.

The Sensar III could be amplified or non-amplified. The Sensar IV has a integrated amplifier and usually has a separate Sensar pro series wall plate that powers the amplifier, but apparently you don't have that either.

(on side of trailer) Living area wall plate has 3 coax...no amp none of the 3 coax has continuity to roof antenna connector...also no 12volts. BR plate has 2 coax...no continuity to roof antenna connection to to outdoor cable and sat coax connectors good. Power panel does have fuse for "antenna boost".

Can you post a pic of this wall plate in the living area?

A little pricey but it could be your answer...get a tone generator and amplified probe set from the telephone section of your big hardware store. Or perhaps you know a telephone tech who can lend you theirs or help you trace from the antenna inward. It can pick up the tone through the walls and cabinetry. I have used this to trace my 12 VDC and 120VAC problems (be sure to pull the main supply on the 120VAC!) in vehicles, trailers and houses. It will work just as well for coax cable.

I have 2015 of same model TT, The booster is in living area below tv on left side of shelf. where all the conections are for antenna or cable.Don,t know if they changed in 2015. but if none of your cables have continuity to the antenna then I think the PO did some tinkering.

My Flagstaff has two coax faceplates. One on wall by tv mount in bedroom. One buried in a cabinet over the lr tv. It is on out side wall of tt, but inside the unit. . Next to where entertainment center mounting hits wall. Almost have to use a step stool to access it. Wired in a wired way, antenna is over bedroom, cable had to run a good 15 feet in ceiling to reach booster. Does ok,

Thanks to all.. Problem resolved

Thanks for assistance. It appears that the trailer does not have a booster. With some effort I was able to locate coax cables from the antenna abandoned in the BR wall and behind a cabinet separator in the living area. I have purchased a Winegard face plate with booster and will replace the Winegard antenna with a "Jack" digital antenna for better reception. Again, thanks for all your suggestions.

I will add that Flagstaff support was less than enthusiastic and not of much help.

Glad to hear you figured it out and have a prognosis.

Can't blame Flagstaff, though. They have no idea of what's going on after an owner does a mod on their product.
