XM Radio won't work?

I have activated my XM Radio, but it won't come through the sterio, what am I suppose to put the input to? I am on batter power only, does that impact the XM radio? I have power to the radio, but it won't come in on any input mode.

I was so excited to have XM in my Flagstaff 26RLSS, but now it won't work! It is a 2012 model, if that matters.

If it is not working, any ideas on how to fix it besides taking it back to the dealership?

I want my XM Radio!

Jim

Hi. We run Sirius off of battery all the time; no issues. You probably have to change your input to "AUX". There may be more than one. Try them all. My Jensen has 3 AUX inputs. Are you using a male to male plug from your XM to your entertainment unit? Also, sometimes the volume needs to be turned up considerably to be heard. Good luck!

P.S. I guess I was assuming "add on" XM. Is your XM built into your radio? What kind of a unit is it?

Our ZX-700 must be on AU-2 for the XM SkyFi to play through the radio. It is ALL 12 VDC so power is not your issue.

If you have a ZX-700 and none of the settings work; you might have to remove the faceplate (carefully pop it off with your finger nails) remove the 4screws that hold it in and make sure the wires from the SkyFi dock are going to the radio. The Radio has stickers on it that have the color code for all the inputs. Also make sure the XM antenna is connected to the XM dock.

Give us a picture or two please. Since I do not use my sky dock on my Concertone my wiring schematic is different from what you might be using. I am plugged into the aux input plate on the wall next to the TV. I have to remember to switch from AUX1 to AUX2 to get the radio to work, Then I have to switch back to get TV sound out of the surround sound system

herk7769; AU-2 is here the sat recvr is suppost to be wired in. But they goofed up on mine and it's wired in at AV-2. So "The Hootman" you might need to check all 4 function modes, AV-1, AV-2, AU-1, and AU-2 bepending on how awake the worker was the day.

My 2012 Flagstaff stereo has to be on AV1 for my XM to play and it's right in the manual. Manuals are neat.

Manuals are great when the factory workers actually hook things up like they should be, which many times they don't.

The radio is the Genesis Technologies GT-3.0 and the XM Radio is built into the Flagstaff 26RLSS. I was able get the screws out to pull the unit out, but it is a bit confusing on the back. It wasn't like I expected (like a sterio for home with input ports).

Did you try input AV1? I have XM and the exact same stereo and that's how I get mine to work.

I believe the manual also has also has a diagram of all the connections in the back of the unit.

Do you have the manual?

By the way the unit is actually the Concertone ZX800 with a "Genesis" name on it.
