'06 Rockwood 2501 winterizing
I need help winterizing...I found a great tutorial on a Rockwood but when I looked closer at my rig I don't have the same valves, low point drains, etc. I have 1 bypass valve near the WH (see photo) and I assume it has a check valve because it ‘Tees’ from cold to hot although I don't know why this is needed. Does anybody have experience with this system?
This is what I know to do...1. remove water filter cartridge 2. drain all tanks including WH 3. turn the bypass valve to off position 4. pour 1 1/2 gallons or so of AF in the fresh water tanks 5. pump it through all the lines 6. pour some AF in each drain...
I really don't want to cut lines and add valves etc. Can you add anything to this list?

See page 2 of the attached generic plumbing pic. Assuming the top hose is hot water and bottom one is cold, you appear to have water heater plumbing option #4.
Your pic shows the 3-way valve in the bypass position already.

'06 Rockwood 2501 winterizing
Thanks rockfordroo...I agree I have option 4, the hot side is at the top in the photo...but the vertical tube is 1/2 filled with water, not sure how to clear that, I'm open to suggestions...anyway, how does the 6 step process sound? Is there anything I'm missing?

You don't say make/model/year of your Rockwood, but with respect to items #4 and 5 on your list: Most of us try NOT to put AF in the FW tank. It's too hard to get it out of the tank in the Spring. I'd consider it an option of last resort. If your Rockwood is newer, it should have an AF ("winterizing") connection that allows you to attach a short piece of hose, turn some valves, and pump the AF from the bottle. (See my plumbing diagram, page 1, left side). If you don't have an AF connection, there are "winterizing kits" that let you install one. You Tee into the pump suction line and install a couple of valves, or use a 3-way valve.
Also, before you add AF, you want to open your low point drains, which should be hanging down somewhere under your rig. Remove the caps from the drains and open all your faucets until they stop draining. Then put the caps back on and add your AF.
You might want to put "winterizing" in the search field at the top of the page and peruse the threads that come up for more tips.

'06 Rockwood 2501 winterizing
thanks...this helps, the '06 Rockwood 2501 has no low point drains or winterizing connections. Sounds like I need a winterizing kit...
If I understand this correctly I want to isolate the FW tank from the water pump, then use the water pump to pull from an AF jug and run AF through the plumbing with WH bypass closed.

Your right. That title goes away as soon as I scroll down a bit.

Yes, you're correct.
Here's the Camco version of the kit; there are others.

Here's a video:

It should have low point drains.
My 2007 Rockwood did.
The t-valves were under the sofa. They should be blue and red lines and should poke out under the trailer.

Be aware: Not everyone has valves. Most just have caps on the end of the hoses under the rig. A few people have both valves and caps.
Some folks remove the caps and install valves under the rig.
You can just see the black caps on my drains at the top of the pic by the tire.
