2004 slide out motor

2004 rockwood 2605
Hi everyone
New guy here. Itís been decades since Iíve owned a trailer. Just bought a 2004 rock wood that Iím trying to refurbish.
The slide out motor needs to be replaced and before I start removing the items I think I need to remove in order to get access, I thought I would ask experienced people.
Can you tell me how to access the motor? I donít see it under the slide out when in the open position. When I look inside the rv under the couch skirt I see wires going to an area that looks to be where the motor could be but has a cover over the area. Thank you for your time.

You are in the Aframe forum. No Aframes have slide outs so this isnít the best place to ask.

Moved thread from the A-frame sub-forum to the Rockwood sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Rockwood product(access to slide motor)and has nothing to do with A-frame trailers.

Before we can help you, you need to identify which slide you have, i.e. make/type. Pictures of the underside of the slide and frame also help tremendously.

This is an ancient slide mechanism. The motor is behind this bracket.
