I feel your pain. It's not just Rockwood. It seems like all RVs (which were never great to start with) are getting worse and worse. Quality control, materials used, and engineering are all very poor when compared to, say, a car at a similar price point. Form takes a much higher point then function. What good are multiple slides and flashy electronics when they'll all be leaking or broken within 5 years? I'd rather pay more for a simpler but better made unit. Unfortunately, a lot of the companies that made those have either gone out of business or been bought up by one of the monster RV conglomerates. That leaves truly dependable RVs available only to those with a half million dollars to spend on a Prevost, etc.
