2014 8329ss

Placed a deposit on a new 2014 8329SS today scheduled to pickup up Wednesday morning. This is my first FR camper. Looking forward to bringing it home for that close inspection. Any thing special I should look for.

I have the 2013 8315BSS and wish my dealer had spent more time showing me around. Foolishly, i thought a trailer was a trailer, no matter who makes it. How wrong I was. Make sure they show you how the hot water heater works. There is a switch on the master panel inside the trailer that operates the propane DSI part of the water heating. To heat the water by electric only there is a separate switch, probably hidden, inside the water tank cabinet which is accessible from the outside of your trailer. Make sure this is switched off before hooking up to shore power and before the water heater tank is full of water. The element inside here takes seconds to burn out if there is no water in the tank. I learnt this the hard way. Enjoy the new trailer.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your 2014 8329SS. You don't want to do that 'close inspection' at home. Do it at the dealer before you sign any paper work.

X2

You'll want to your "close" inspection at the dealer.
That way things can be fixed prior to signing on the dotted line.
Things that may appear damaged after you get home may not be covered under warranty as they "may" say it was user error after it left the dealers lot.
Make sure EVERYTHING works to your satisfaction and they show you HOW to use it.
Don't wait till you get home.
