2014 Rockwood 2109 bigger tires?

We have a 2014 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S has original tires 205-75-14 wondering if 15” wheels would fit?

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Rockwood sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information.

There are plenty of online calculators that will let you compar size of tire/wheel combo 1 to combo 2. The you can see how much taller a 15" wheel setup would be.
But why bother? With a 15" setup you might gain 1" of ground clearance. 15 inch tires cost more, plus the new wheels.

Only one inch taller true but they can be rated for more weight but.main reason is they turn quite a bit slower that= cooler

A 15 inch tire will turn almost the same speed as a 14 inch tire. So there will be no temperature savings. I'm not sure how much rotational speed affects temp. And the 2109 is not a heavy trailer that will heat up tires.
If you want/need extra load capacity its easier to go up a load range like going from a C to a D

Normally there is just under 10% difference that I have observed when changing tire size by how much the speedometer is off, so 10% is significant when conditions are at or near 100 degrees like is common here in the western US

You would have to go from a 205/75r14 to roughly a 235/75r15 to get a 10% revolution difference. What will heat up your tires is being under inflated.

This is based on my experience on the east coast on 90-95 degree days monitoring the TPMS. On a 100 degree day your stock tires will heat up to 130+ degrees. You larger tires will heat up to 130+ degrees minus a few. Its not like the larger tire is going to run at 105 degrees or something. Both those numbers are well below the safe level.

If you want larger tires go for it. I just doubt you are going to gain much of anything you're hoping too.

I have the sister 22 FBRS. I would be more concerned about about the space between tires. If the 15" tires are 1"greater in diameter, wont that decrease the space between tires by 2", are am I wrong?
