any guess of what your tongue weight is when you have it loaded up for camping?
My 2019 Lariat with max tow has a payload of 1809, I'm surprised that your payload is so much lower than mine. I think you will be okay if you pack carefully and check your weight at the scales but its close. pack anything heavy in the trailer, not the truck, to keep cargo weight down. Post over at the https://www.f150forum.com/ someone may have your exact rig.

My 2014 eco boost Platinum had around a 1200 pound payload. My TT at time had a tongue weight of 850 empty. Back then I always traveled with some water in the TT. Plus I was over 300 just me thro in wife daughter tools, ect. Probably had same weight In the truck that the hitch was putting on the truck. Truck pulled stopped great.

It's because he has the 2.7 and likely has the light weight frame compared to the Max Tow with a 3.5 ECO.

Personally, I would never be able to tow that trailer with 1285# of payload.

Nice reading everyone posts.. we are debating between the 2109 and the 2205.
The 2109 is lighter in weight but the open couch doesn’t seem appealing to a potential
Third sleeper with the puffy pillows. But, I did see a video for a 22fbs in
Which the couch with the stainless option was different.. the bottom and back
We’re similar in style and the bed looked flatter.

We like the theatre seating and assume an occasional 3rd person could sleep
On one of the reclining seating...

Also, I assume a ram 1500 with tow package could sufficiently handle either
The 2109 or 2205..

e

We have the 2109 and keep a thin egg crate roll, only the width of the non cushioned area, stored in trunk space under bed. Comfortable sleeping with a sheet over the whole thing

NEVER assume! The 2205S is pretty tongue heavy so you'll need to look at your truck's payload capacity.

Yellow sticker on our F150 is 1544lbs.

Ours is 2wd, factory tow pkg.

Not overlooking safety or safely loading your trailer or pickup, with proper WDH set up correctly, which means by you not the dealer, haha! I'm kidding... or am I? We use the Airlift 2k airbags to assist ride and squat.

We do not overload pickup bed behind the axle, nor the nose of the wagon. I run 15 gals of water in the fresh water tank and our truck 2205S combo sits level, rides like a dream and that 2.7 Ecoboost/6sp auto runs and pulls great No strain on 87 gas.

Our situation with the 2205S, I believe you would be fine, but that is up to you.
