Hey, Tundra!

Why did you decide to replace the tongue jack?

What convinced you to go with a Husky 4500?

Thanks!

Really just by reading the reviews on it.

If I had to buy a new jack today it would be the exact same one.

It's quiet, fast, has auto stop, and powerful.

Did a small mod to make a place to keep our fly rods while at the camp site.

Found some aluminum clamps on Amazon for 1" tubing meant for mounting LED light bars. Also picked up plastic fishing rod clips.

You must be boondocking. That’d be a nice temporary storage location if you are.

Nice fly rods combos like yours, any fishing rod combo for that matter, would grow legs fast in a lot of places.

They'll only be stored there when we're at our campsite, and I don't have a problem breaking legs

Decided to go ahead and tack weld the Anderson No-Sway brackets to the frame since we'll be keeping this trailer for the long haul. This will eliminated any chance of the brackets moving.

Also decided to change out our digital Coleman thermostat for a MicroAir Easy-Touch smart t-stat. It wasn't inexpensive, but it sure is nice to not have to get up and stumble around in the dark with a flashlight when I want to change the setting.

Not sure why the picture makes the display look orange, but it's red while in heat mode and blue when in cooling.

What is the model number of the Thermostat?

Also looking back I do not remember seeing the link to the MaxAir II's that you bought. Do you have that as well?

TIA

Thermostat - ASY-352-X01

Vent Covers - Maxxair 00-933073 MaxxAir II Smoke Vent Cover. I bought mine from Amazon, but they're currently not available. I believe they do have the black covers, just not the smoke color.

Hey, Tundra!

I looked through your posts but I didn't see where you modified the fresh water tank drain valve. I would like to install something besides the 1/4" factory drain and I understand that the newer 2109s have a 1" gate valve.

Have you replaced the factory fresh water drain valve? If so, do you have any pictures?

Thanks!

Our 2020 came with the large drain valve (think this was the first year for it).

Replacing 1/4 Fresh Tank Drain Valve

Has anyone else replaced the small fresh tank drain valve with the larger gate-type drain valve?

As Tundra mentioned, 2020 and forward Rockwoods come from the factory with what appears to be about a 1" gate valve for draining the fresh water tank.

Thanks!

Unless the threaded outlet in the tank is larger, the only way I could see this happening is if you used a plastic welder and installed a larger outlet.

I’ve been wanting to rewire our awning for a couple years now because I’ve always believed that it was slow due to inadequate factory wire sizing and voltage drop.

Well today was the day, it was to the point that I would pull on the awning arm as I was retracting it to help it come in and all the interior lights would dim even while hooked to shore power. Not anymore! This thing flat out moves now and no more lights are dimming. I’ve never heard the motor sound like it does now.

Used a forward-reverse relay module to control the awning. I ran 8 AWG +/- wire over to the relay to power the motor. Ran the 12V+ through a 25A Blue Sea breaker.

On the factory switch all I had to do was simply remove the ground wire from it (the green/white wires), that allows to switch to send 12V+ to the relay coils in each position.

Still doing great.

2" down the sides and across the back.

4" everywhere else.

This sounds interesting but I'm having trouble grasping the circuit despite the pictures. Can you summarize with a schematic?

Thanks
