Post 2022 2608 bs holding tanks

Hey Anyone

We are on our first trip and I was wondering if anyone has experience with a 2 tank grey water system. My question is i have a valve towards the front of the trailer which appears to be a grey water only valve. The second value towards the back close to the bathroom has a smaller valve as part of that valve assembly. My question is do both grey water tanks equally fill up at the same time or would the front valve empty the front grey tank only?
Thanks for your help! Mike

We have the 2608BS. The front grey tank accepts water from the kitchen sink only. The rear grey tank is for the bathroom sink and shower. They fill independently. The front valve is for the front tank exclusivly and the smaller grey valve in the rear only flushes the bathroom grey tank.

If there’s a single dump outlet you can put a twist valve on it and then open both grey tank valves with the twist on valve closed. It basically ties the two grey tanks together. I’ve done this a few times and it works well.

As a former 2608 owner one thing we learned early was to attach the hose on the front outlet before opening the slide. One too many headaches if you do it later.

X2. And then close the slide again when it's time to open the valve to drain the tank.

We haven't bothered to "Y" both front and rear dump valves. The front tank doesn't fill up that fast so we usually have the rear connected while camping and then occasionally move the hose to the front to dump it.

We have two campco sewer hoses stored in the rear bumper. We had the trailer six months before we figured out the hoses store in the bumper.

I bought a 90 degree fitting for the front, then bought a 45 degree along with a y fitting for the rear, connected the both. I also bought a 4" white drain pipe, cut in half for support. Works greatClick image for larger version

It is annoying to try to pull the valve on the front grey tank with the front slide out. I've used a "Y" connect to get all 3 tanks hooked up to sewer, but that brought up another problem. If I left the front valve open, then dumping the rear black tank caused some of that effluent to intrude into the open front grey hose. Since that front tank was left open, flushing it wasn't easy. So here's my plan for my next trip. I'm adding a dump valve between the front grey hose and the "Y" connection at the sewer. That way I can leave the factory front tank valve open, and control the outflow at the sewer end. I can dump the black, followed by the rear grey, then use the black tank hose flushing inlet, and not have anything go into the front grey hose.

Here's the new valve on Amazon: Camco Ready to Use Gate Valve with Built-in Clear Adapter | Fits All 3-inch Sewer Fittings | Ready to Use Construction (39053), $25
