2104s Mini Lite & weight dist. hitch

I just bought a 2017 model yesterday and will pick up next week, I have a 03 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with air bags that I pulled a 35' 5th wheel with. We just decided to downsize rv's. Will I need a weight dist hitch pulling this small and light of a trailer with my truck? info appreciated.

You shouldn't need a WDH but it probably would be good to get a friction anti-sway bar.

I Pull my Flagstaff 21fbrs (the same trailer you have but with Flagstaff name) with a 2015 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi. DO I need the WDH, probably not, but I do find that the sway bar is very helpful when semi's pass and winds hit

Enjoy you new trailer

2104s Mini Lite & weight dist. hitch

The old rule of thumb is if the trailer loaded weighs more than %50 of the tow vehicles curb weight you should use one.

So if you have a 4500lb trailer and a 7000lb truck, it could be said you could use it. I am just swagging the weights of your items.

I was in the same boat as I have a Ram 3500 and the 2109s. I thought about getting a 500/5000 distribution hitch but I haven't. I try to keep the weight in the box lower to keep the axles evenly loaded. The best way is to run it across a scale which I did with the trailer loaded and if you have a large deviance on your trucks axles then maybe consider it more.

Enjoy.
